App Privacy Policy

Effective as of September 24, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what data the IB Interview Questions app (also called IB IQ) collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. The app is published by Alexis Lentati, who is responsible for the data described here.

The app is free to download, with optional paid features available through a subscription. By using the app you agree to the practices described in this policy. I only use the data described below to provide and improve the app, and I do not sell it or share it with anyone except the service providers listed in this policy.

    Information Collection and Use

You can use the app without an account. In that case your progress, bookmarks, quiz results, streak, written answers and settings are stored on your device only and are not sent to me.

Creating an account is optional. If you sign in, the app saves your progress to your account so you can find it on other devices and on ibinterviewquestions.com, where the same account works. The account and what it stores are described in the next section.

Separately, the app sends anonymous usage analytics and purchase data, described below, whether you have an account or not. The analytics are not linked to your account or your identity.

    Your Account

You can sign in with Apple, with Google, or with an email address and a password. Depending on the method, your account holds your email address (with Sign in with Apple this can be a private relay address that Apple creates for you), a securely hashed version of your password (I never see the password itself), and which sign-in method you use. Apple shares only your email address. Google shares your email address, name and profile picture, which are stored with your account. I never receive your Apple or Google password.

While you are signed in, the app saves to your account: how many times you answered each technical question right or wrong, your bookmarks, your brainteaser results, which guide articles you read and your best quiz scores, the behavioral questions you marked as prepared, the answers you write to behavioral questions, and the days you practised (your streak). Each change records the day it happened and that it came from the app. The first time you sign in, the progress already on your device is added to your account.

Your account and this progress are stored by Supabase, which also runs the website's accounts. The same data appears on ibinterviewquestions.com when you sign in there with the same account.

When your account is created, I send you one welcome email, through Resend. I do not send marketing emails from the app.

Signing out removes this data from your device; it stays in your account for when you sign in again.

    Analytics

The app uses Firebase Analytics, a service provided by Google, to understand how the app is used and to improve it. Firebase Analytics receives: the screens you view and the features you use, quiz and session results as counts, the search terms you type in the question browser, purchase events, your answers to the two optional questions at the start of the app (the role you are targeting and when your first interview is), whether you are signed in, a random identifier created for this installation of the app, and basic technical information such as your device model, iOS version, app version, language and country.

No advertising identifier is collected, the data is not used for advertising, and it is not used to track you across other apps or websites. The data is not linked to your identity or to your account: your email address and account identifier are never sent to Firebase. Reinstalling the app resets the analytics identifier. Google's handling of this data is described in the Firebase privacy documentation and Google's Privacy Policy.

    Purchases and Subscriptions

Payments for IB IQ Premium in the app are processed by Apple through the App Store. I never see or store your card or bank details. Apple's handling of payment data is described in Apple's Privacy Policy.

The app uses RevenueCat to check and restore your subscription status. RevenueCat receives an anonymous identifier for your installation or, when you are signed in, your account identifier, together with your Apple purchase and transaction history for this app and basic device and app information. When you are signed in, Premium is shared between the app and ibinterviewquestions.com: a subscription bought in the app unlocks Premium on the website, and a plan bought on the website unlocks the app. For that, the website records your App Store subscription's status, plan and renewal date with your account. This data is used only to unlock Premium and to restore your purchases. See the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.

    Notifications

If you turn on streak reminders, the app schedules local notifications on your device. They are optional, you can turn them off at any time in the app or in iOS Settings, and the app does not send push notifications from a server.

    Cookies

Cookies are files with a small amount of data that are commonly used as anonymous unique identifiers. These are sent to your browser from the websites that you visit and are stored on your device's internal memory.

This Service does not use these "cookies" explicitly. However, the app may use third-party code and libraries that use "cookies" to collect information and improve their services. You have the option to either accept or refuse these cookies and know when a cookie is being sent to your device. If you choose to refuse these cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of the app.

    Service Providers

I use third-party companies for the following reasons:

    • To provide the app;
    • To operate parts of the app on my behalf;
    • To perform related services; or
    • To assist me in analyzing how the app is used.

The third parties used by the app are:

These third parties only receive the data described in this policy, to perform the tasks assigned to them on my behalf. They are obligated not to disclose or use the information for any other purpose. Some of them are based in the United States or store data there, so your data may be transferred outside the European Union; where this happens, it is protected by the safeguards these providers offer, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

    Your Choices and Your Rights

Without an account, deleting the app from your device deletes all the data it stored there and resets the analytics identifier. With an account, deleting the app does not delete your account or the progress saved to it.

You can delete your account at any time from the app: Profile, then Delete account. Deleting it removes your email address and sign-in details, the answers you wrote to behavioral questions, and the link to your Apple or Google sign-in (for Sign in with Apple, the app also asks Apple to revoke its access). It signs you out on every device and removes the data from the device you are using. The rest of the progress history, such as question counts and practice days, is kept without anything that identifies you, so it can no longer be connected to you. Purchase records are kept by Apple, RevenueCat and, for a plan bought on the website, Stripe, as required for billing and accounting. If a plan bought on ibinterviewquestions.com is still billing, cancel it on the website first; the app will tell you.

You can turn reminders off at any time, and you can manage or cancel an App Store subscription in your Apple account settings.

If you are in the European Union or another region with data protection rights, you can ask me for a copy of the data associated with your account or your installation, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or raise any other request by writing to the contact address below.

    Security

I value your trust and use commercially acceptable means of protecting the data described in this policy. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and I cannot guarantee its absolute security.

    Links to Other Sites

This Service may contain links to other sites. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. Note that these external sites are not operated by me. Therefore, I strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of these websites. I have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

    Children's Privacy

I do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. I encourage all children to never submit any personally identifiable information through the Application and/or Services. I encourage parents and legal guardians to monitor their children's Internet usage and to help enforce this Policy by instructing their children never to provide personally identifiable information through the Application and/or Services without their permission. If you have reason to believe that a child has provided personally identifiable information to me through the app, please contact me. You must also be at least 16 years of age to consent to the processing of your personally identifiable information in your country (in some countries your parent or guardian may do so on your behalf).

    Changes to This Privacy Policy

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. I will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
