Why I Built IB IQ
After completing my Master in Finance at ESSEC (#4 globally - Financial Times 2025) and working in VC, then M&A at Clipperton (leading tech M&A boutique based in Paris), I made a choice: leave finance to build something that actually helps people.
But I couldn't shake one frustration from my recruiting days - interview prep was broken. My classmates and I were drowning in:
- Static PDFs we couldn't track progress on
- $300+ guides with outdated questions
- No way to practice on the subway or between classes
- Zero feedback on whether our answers were actually good
The most successful candidates weren't necessarily the smartest - they were the ones who practiced consistently. But the tools made that nearly impossible.
